Kids, hurry up and get ready! Russell Peters is performing at the Pickering Casino Resort tonight, and even though we're just a hop, skip, and a jump away from this fabulous show, we still need to get Grandma and Grandpa settled before we head out. Make sure you head downstairs to the fully finished basement to kiss your grandparents goodnight. While you're there, turn off the fan in the four-piece bathroom and leave the oven light on in the fully functional basement kitchen so they have a little night light while we're gone.Your dad is taking a quick shower in the primary bedroom's ensuite bathroom, and I'll get some snacks ready before we leave. Thankfully, one big chore is already checked off the list. The cleaners came by today and wiped down the granite countertops, mopped and vacuumed the hardwood floors throughout the main floor, and, most importantly, left all four bathrooms sparkling clean and ready for the weekend ahead.There are so many moments when I catch myself thinking how grateful I am to live in such a dynamic community.
